Stephen's photos have appeared in National Geographic and Life magazines as well as many other science and nature magazines. His videos have appeared in more than two dozen films and television shows, including the following programs:
Stephen was honored to represent National Geographic at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Hollywood, California. The exhibit, titled “Extreme Exposure” was a group exhibit celebrating five National Geographic photographers “who thrive in environments that few dare to explore, braving dangerous conditions in order to capture rarely seen moments in the life of our planet.”

- After 20+ years Stephen has retired from being a contract photographer & videographer for National Geographic Image Collection. He still photographs for Science Source (Photo Researchers) in New York.
